Portable Hand Trainer
The Portable Hand Trainer is designed to facilitate hand sensorimotor rehabilitation following a stroke. With the increasing global incidence of stroke, there is a critical need for affordable and accessible rehabilitation tools. Traditional robotic devices are often expensive, limiting their availability. The Portable Hand Trainer offers a low-cost, home-based solution for hand rehabilitation. It features a flexible shell that enables users to practice hand grasping movements and a DC motor that provide reactive-resistive haptic feedback. The device is used in combination with engaging and personalized virtual training exercises. Its portability and ease of use make it ideal for at-home therapy, supporting intensive rehabilitation and enhancing long-term recovery outcomes.
